Providing over 20 thousand square feet of retail space, more than 900 free time limited parking spaces and a wonderful brand new Odeon cinema overlooking the waterfront, Barons Quay is set to be another jewel in Northwich's crown. Long awaited, the Barons Quay site is nearing completion, and parts of it are already open. So, for your convenience, here is an account of the Barons Quay opening schedule so far.
Already Open
The multi storey car park of the Barons Quay site was opened on August 26th 2016. This multi storey car park is home to around 400 parking spaces and these spaces are already on offer for visitors to Northwich to use. Drivers can currently park their vehicles for free in this car park for up to 4 hours at a time.
What will be next to open?
Next to open will be the supermarket Asda, which will officially open it's doors for the first time on Monday 28th November.
Opening around the same time, however, will be the 5 screen Odeon cinema. So, it looks like, by the end of the year, Northwich residents will be able to park their car for free as they catch a movie and then pick up some shopping from Asda before they head home.
What else can we expect from Barons Quay?
Once the entire site has opened by early 2017, there will be an abundance of bars, restaurants and cafes, a huge M&S store and plenty of different retail outlets. The whole scheme has cost around £80 million and the aim is for it to be a diverse, contemporary and beautiful place to spend time.
