Roll up, roll up, come and see the new Northwich shopping centre, Barons Quay!
In development since 2014, the new Barons Quay shopping centre, which is due for completion in winter 2016 aims to bring over 1,400 jobs to Northwich while also making the most of its beautiful riverside location. The new shopping centre, which has allocated 28,000 square feet to restaurant and bar space will consist of six riverside restaurants where you can while away the hours, sip on a glass of cool, crisp wine, or dine al fresco (weather permitting!) all the while enjoying stunning riverside views. A much needed boost for the local economy, Barons Quay will also bring a much needed evening footfall to the area courtesy of the afore-mentioned bars and restaurants as well as a five-screen Odeon cinema showing all the latest movies - something which is sure to be a hit with the locals!
A picturesque place of great natural beauty, Northwich is something of a hidden gem with a wealth of untapped tourist potential. With almost 1,000 car parking spaces, Barons Quay will be the kind of draw that will bring visitors from far and wide, not only putting the area on the map, but also infusing the area with the kind of vibrancy and buzz that occurs when weekenders, ready to shop and spend come to town.
Speaking of shopping, Barons Quay is set to be a shopper’s paradise! The £80 million development aims to maintain strong links with existing shopping areas, while its 103,000 square feet of retail units are sure to provide something for everyone. Already confirmed for the shopping centre are a 28 square foot Marks & Spencer and an Asda Superstore with many more retail partners soon to be announced.
