Northwich, Chesire - What is there to do?

Northwich in Cheshire boasts a full range of activities from shopping to dining to countryside retreats. First the essentials. When eating or drinking out, there is a variety of establishments on offer from Mediterranean cuisine to wonderful Indian restaurants. This includes the Kanya Cafe Bar and Bistro, which hosts a range of coffee stop, bistro food as well as more sophisticated dining. Be sure to stop by the Witton Chimes also. A classic English pub which serves wholesome food and drinks a plenty including a large stock of real ales, alongside live music which is regularly scheduled.

Now that sustenance is sorted, delving deeper into Northwich can unveil some hidden gems. For those explorers, the Delamere Forest is a perfect outdoor activity hub for all ages, whether you want to walk the woodland on a nature trail, or take to the canopy at the Delamere Forest Go Ape centre. Perhaps take one of the many boat tours available at ABC Boat Hire, or if you're particularly inclined, marvel at the fabulous engineering at the Anderton Boat Lift.

Other outdoor attractions include the Stockley Farms Bird of Prey Centre or the Vale Royal Falconry Centre, where you can get up close and personal with some fantastic beasts. For a more relaxed jaunt in the countryside, take a visit to the Arley Hall and Gardens, a quiet retreat where you can appreciate the beautiful grounds as well as enjoying an exquisite quality lunch.

Learn something new. Why not head over to the Lion Salt Works where you can witness the beautiful array of tributes to the salt mining industry of the past. And you can always swat up on your history knowledge at the Weaver Hall Museum, a small exhibit dedicated to the history of the area.

But of course, this shall all be made easier with the introduction of the new Barons Quay shopping centre, providing a massive array of shopping opportunities, with ample parking and other services as an essential central hub for your visit.
