The Barons Quay development is an £80 million project to bring a thriving retail and leisure quarter to Northwich which will rival the likes of Liverpool One and the Trafford Centre. Embracing the natural landscape the development is set by the River Weaver. A new open public space, Weaver Point, overlooks the river and provides an outdoor dining area, bars and restaurants and a mooring point for boats. Weaver Way will be landscaped to provide a relaxing riverside route for pedestrians and cyclists and also links to a newly developed green space by the river, Riverside Park, and also links with Carey Park.
The complex will house a state of the art five screen Odeon cinema, which along with the shopping and dining experiences brings highly anticipated leisure activities to the town. 103,000 square feet has been dedicated to high quality retail outlets and include favourites such as Marks & Spencer and an ASDA superstore. The development incorporates strong links to the existing local retail areas so that you are never too far away from exactly what you're looking for. In short: something for everyone!
The development is expected to create over 1,000 jobs which will benefit local people. It also includes over 900 parking spaces which are free for limited periods to cater for visitors and allow them to make the most of their experience.
So whether you're looking for retail therapy, wanting to catch a film with the kids or enjoy a meal in one of the six restaurants which overlook the beautiful scenery of the river, Barons Quay will not disappoint!
